Kaldi's swings back and forth every few years between offering fairly special coffees and those that have a broader appeal. The coffee is always good, but sometimes they offer really exciting coffees, and other times not so much. I'm disappointed that by the afternoon most days there aren't single origin drips available, because they are always great. But Kaldi's does have a single origin espresso most times--at the holidays it used to be a blend, which wasn't really what you would want if you ordered featured espressos, but I don't know if that is still the case. The latest single origin espresso I had was outstanding. (It was a light roast brazil.) And I think they usually are like that: the coffee is always great and usually they are well dialed in. The other thing that is super reliable is the cold brew; it is always outstanding. But......the last two drinks I had were more expensive than I think they should have been. They charge an extra 65 cents for an Americano [over an espresso]. I don't think I have ever seen an upcharge that big, but a good margin. The cold brew is also very pricey, but I think that is because it is partly because they only have one size. It is great place to work, visit or just hang out, inside and out, and is reliable. And the staff is always nice.

Kaldi is like Starbucks, but it's mainly in the STL area. I came to this location to grab an iced coffee and a couple of pastries after leaving Forest Park. The location itself is super busy. There was no empty table or seat when I came by, and as for parking spots, you have to do street parking, which is plenty. I do like this location. I recommend it if you are nearby and want to check out a new coffee spot.

Love this place for hot and cold brews, pastries and some breakfast and sandwich options. Childhood memories of walking up the street to the original location are always a warm feeling. People are super nice here, most people walk their dogs and sit outside during gorgeous days. Right across the street from Concordia park and seminary. Just the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful day with a loved one.

I love love love this vegetarian cafe. Their lattes are so delicious and perfectly balanced. We also had their avocado and toast with egg on top and their cheddar and egg biscuit. They were both very tastee. This is definitely on my go to list for when I am passing through.
